The symbols are from new legislation from the European Union and United Nations that’s designed to provide people with consistent, simple to understand information about chemicals found in different types of products. It has lowered the threshold for levels of certain ingredients that require warning labels on how to handle them safely and the new warnings refer to highly unlikely scenarios – for example if you got concentrated product in the eye.
