How do we clean up?
Innovative new bottles
To highlight the harm and health risk of plastic waste in the ocean, we launched a limited edition washing-up liquid in an Ocean Plastic bottle. The innovative bottle is made from 10% plastic recovered or destined for the sea and the rest from other recycled sources. It is, as they say, a drop in the ocean, but it’s the first of its kind.
By reducing the amount of plastic left floating in the sea we’ll also reduce the build up of micro-plastic that is increasingly making its way into our own food chain. Healthier, happier oceans are not just essential for marine life, but also for those of us on dry land too.
What’s for Dinner?
THE PLASTIC FOODCHAIN
Fish in the middle depths of the northern Pacific Ocean are ingesting up to 24,000 tons of plastic each year. It is estimated that over five trillion pieces of plastic² are floating in the world’s oceans, causing damage throughout the food chain.
