Want to waste less? Follow our top tips to load your dishwasher like a pro.
SCRAPE, DON'T RINSE
Rinsing dishes under the tap before you load your dishwasher wastes water and money. Most dishwashers can pre-rinse your dishes anyway. So just scrape any leftovers into your food waste bin before you load up. Our all-in-one Power Dish tabs are more than equipped to power through any tough stains to leave your dishes squeaky clean.
STACK IT LIKE WE PACK IT
To ensure a better clean, stack plates facing inwards so the spray jets have a better chance of cleaning them. The water pressure is higher on the lower rack, so place anything that needs a serious clean, like greasy baking trays, down there. Avoid blocking the spray arm with cutlery items and place pots and pans face down. Most importantly, don't overload the dishwasher. Space everything out so that the water and detergent can reach every last spoon.
CHOOSE THE ECO-CYCLE
Avoid the rapid cycle, which is meant for small loads, and choose eco wash instead. Combined with a full load, you'll save more water and energy this way. Our new dish tabs are specially formulated to clean on eco wash, so they're made for this mission.
KEEP IT CLEAN
Keep your dishwasher in good shape by maintaining it carefully. Make sure your rinse aid salt is topped up (or just use our new dish tabs, which have salt action and rinse aid built in already) and regularly clean out the filter. Check the door seals and spray arms, and leave the door open occasionally to ensure air can circulate, which will help prevent mould and mildew.
