Online terms & conditions for submitting an application
1.1 The title of this Campaign is Ecover Fertilise the Future (the “Campaign”).The Sponsor of this Campaign is Ecover UK Ltd of 1 Eton Street, Richmond TW9 1AG, United Kingdom (“Ecover”).
1.2 The Campaign aims to provide financial investments, in accordance with the terms and conditions set out below, to innovative ideas promoting nature-based solutions, including:
1.3 the conservation and restoration of forest and other terrestrial ecosystems;
1.4 the conservation and restoration of freshwater resources as well as marine and ocean ecosystems;
1.5 sustainable agriculture and food systems; and ensuring nature’s systemic role in sustainable development in ways that end the loss of biodiversity and optimise nature’s contribution tor resilient livelihoods, green infrastructure, sustainable settlements and just rural transitions.
2.1 The Campaign is open to all European organisations, except employees of Ecover, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the Campaign.
2.2 There is no fee associated with submitting an application to the Campaign and no purchase is necessary.
2.3 All applications must be submitted via short form application on Ecover.com and only one entry per person/business is permitted.
2.4 The opening date for applications is 6th June 2020. The closing date for applications is 1st September 2020. Applications received after this time will not be considered.
2.5 Ecover accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed or submitted due to a technical fault of any kind.
2.6 Successful ideas will be selected by a panel appointed by Ecover and comprising both employees of Ecover and external experts in the field of regeneration.
2.7 The selection of successful ideas will be guided by the criteria outlined in clause 4 below, however Ecover retains absolute discretion in the outcome of the decision-making process. The selection of successful ideas may also require further investigation and due diligence of applicants, and a presentation/FAQ session stage with the judging panel.
2.8 The number of successful applicants is subject to Ecover’s discretion, but will include at least one successful idea based in each of the United Kingdom, Belgium and Germany, or one successful idea covering all three of these countries.
2.9 The total monetary amount available under the Campaign is at least £500,000. The monetary sum (in British pounds) to be granted to each successful applicant will be dependent on the amount requested in the application and is subject to Ecover’s discretion. The payment of the monetary amount to a successful applicant may be staggered on achieving the goal of the relevant application and this will be set out in the Funding Agreement (see clause 2.12 below).
2.10 Successful applicants will be notified by email or telephone (using details provided at entry) by 1st January 2021 at the latest. If a successful applicant does not respond within 7 days of being notified by Ecover, then the successful applicant’s grant will be forfeited and Ecover will be entitled to select another successful applicant in accordance with the guiding criteria set out below.
2.11 Ecover may make successful applications available on its website and any other media and in connection with any publicity of the Campaign. You agree to grant Ecover with a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence any intellectual property rights for this purpose in your submitted application.
2.12 Successful applicants shall be subject to passing financial and legal checks and must enter into a Funding Agreement outlining terms and the process for payment of funds by 1st February 2021.
2.13 The grant given to the successful applicants is non-exchangeable and non-transferable.
2.14 The decision of Ecover regarding any aspect of the Campaign is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
2.15 Applicants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. Ecover reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award a grant to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
2.16 Ecover reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the Campaign where it becomes necessary to do so.
2.17 Ecover reserves all rights to disqualify anyone whose conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Campaign.
2.18 Ecover reserves the right in its absolute discretion to positively seek out applicants if the quality or quantity of applicants does not sufficiently meet out the guiding criteria set out in clause 4 below.
2.20 The Campaign will be governed by English law and applicants to the Campaign submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
HOW TO APPLY
3.1 Each applicant must complete and submit a short form application at Fertilise the Future campaign page.

3.10 All information submitted in the application form must be accurate and up to date at the time of submission. Ecover reserves the right to disqualify any application which does not comply with this term.
3.11 Upon submission of an application, the applicant will receive an automatic acknowledgment of the application.

CRITERIA FOR SELECTING SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS
4.1 The panel of judges selected by Ecover will consider all valid applications which have not been disqualified for any reason mentioned above.
4.2 The panel will consider the following criteria when assessing applications in its absolute discretion:

4.6 Direct impact on the planet or if aiming for wider systemic change, a credible hypothesis of how this impact will be achieved

4.11 Able to measure and report impact
4.12 Ambition to have a disproportionate impact
