Are there any corn products in the soap?
Yes. The sugar based surfactant in this product is derived from potato and corn starches, hydrolyzed to glucose.
What is zeolite?
Zeolite is a mineral used to soften water.
The powder clumps and doesn't rinse out of my clothes. Why is this happening and what should I do?
The zeolite in this product can sometimes cause the powder to clump. It helps to put the powder in first, and to leave a fist-sized space of water above the clothes.
Are the citrate and carbonate in this product iodized?
No.
Can I use vinegar as a water softener?
Yes, but only in the rinse cycle. If added earlier, it will make the powder gummy.
What is the difference between Biological Washing Powder and Non Biological Washing Powder?
Biological Washing Powder contains enzymes and Non Biological Washing Powder does not.
Are there optical brighteners in Ecover products?
No. They bind irreversibly to the skin, but don't accumulate because of cell regeneration and plant-based cellulose optical brighteners do not exist.
What do the symbols on the scoop represent?
The water drop represents water. The waves underneath represent water hardness, ranging from soft to hard. The shirts across the top represent the amount of soil on your laundry, ranging from light to heavy. The hand represents hand washing.
Can you convert the measurements?
5 L = 1.5 gallons. 46 ml = 1/3 scoop for hand washing
Is it ok to mix this product with chlorine bleach?
Yes, although we produce non chlorine liquid and powder bleaches.
