Ecover wins 2007 Sustainabilty Award in Flanders, Belgium |

On October 2nd, 2007, ECOVER, market leader in ecological detergents and cleaning products, received the award as ‘Sustainable Business of The Year’ from Mr Henry De Baets, General Administrator of the Flemish Public Waste association (OVAM) and Mr Yves Lejaeghere, founder of Open Bedrijvendag (Company Open House Day). Leading up to Open Bedrijvendag, this prize was awarded to a company distinguished by focussing on the various social aspects of doing business while caring for the environment. |

Ecover Opens New Factory in France |

Boulogne-sur-Mer (France). On May 11th, 2007, the new ECOVER factory in the Landacres national business park near Boulogne-sur-Mer, France, was officially opened by Belgium’s Minister of Environmental Affairs and Pensions, Bruno Tobback. ECOVER, the European market leader in ecological washing and cleaning products is increasing its production capacity to meet the continuously rising demand for ecological products. ECOVER has invested more than € 10 million in the project, 40% of which represents all extra measures taken to add ecological value. The new ECOVER factory is the first ecological factory north of Paris. ECOVER already has factories in Malle (Belgium) and Steffisburg (Switzerland).
