I recently found mould in my dosage tray. How can I prevent this?
This arises with most washing products, not just with Ecover products. To prevent it, we recommend taking the deposit out of the dosage tray every now and then and leave the dosage tray and drum door open so that they dry out as best as possible. Cleaning with a solution of Ecover Bleach left work for half an hour will kill the mould. In hard water areas (ask your water supplier for the water hardness) it is recommended to run an empty cycle with a coffee cup of citric or lactic acid, at 40 degrees, every 3-4 months. This prevents a build up of scale, which will attract mould.
