Awards

Ecover really is a pioneering company. For the past 25 years, we have channelled a huge amount of energy into the development of ecological detergents and cleaning products. Our approach has been widely appreciated and both on a national and international level, Ecover has received various awards over the years.

2006   PETA, Best Cruelty-Free Household Cleaning Product Company Proggy Award, UK

2005   Golden Archer Award, Belgium

2005   Trends Gazellen, Belgium
            The awards is given to Ecover because we belong as a fast-growing company to the
            Trends Gazellen 2005 from the Province of Antwerp in the categorie of medium-sized
            company’s. This award has been present to us on the 13th April 2005. This awards
            has been supported by the Flemish Government, The Room of commerce in Antwerp,
           Mechelen and Kempen. The Province of Antwerp, the bank KBC, the make of car: Audi,
          Ersnt&Young, SAP and Toptalent.

2004   Trends Gazellen, USA

2002   Golden Bridge Award, UK
          The Golden Bridge Award from the Belgian-Luxumbourg Chamber of Commerce in the
          UK was won by Ecover for its achievements in exporting to the UK.

2001   Best vegetarian non-food product, UK
            The UK based Vegan Society has granted Ecover for its washing powder as best vegan
            non-food product.

2000   ISO 14001 certified, Belgium
            Ecovers Environmental policy has been controlled and approved by KPMG so we got the
            ISO 14001 certificate

1999   Gold Environment Medal, Belgium
            The Reseach and Information Center of the Consumer Organisation (OIVO) has been
            asked by the national consumer organisation to test the impact on the envirnment of our
            washing powder. Ecover scored best and got the golden medallion.

1999   Corporate Conscience Award, USA
            The American based Council of Economic Priorities stimulates socially responsible
          enterpreneurship. Yearly a couple of companies are granted. Ecover got in 1999 the
          Award for Environmental Stewardship for the way we take care of the environment.

1998   Varena prize, Netherlands
            Varena is a yearly tradeshow for the health food sector in Holland. Our Heavy Duty Hand
            Cleaner got granted as best new non-food product.

1994   Honourable mention VBO, Belgium
            The VBO is the Association for Belgian Enterprises and has honourful mentioned Ecover
            for our multi surface cleaner based on sugar detergents

1994   Vida Sana, Spain
            Vida Sana is the most important consumer organisation in Spain. This organisation has
            rewarded Ecover because of our efforts to protect the environment.

1993   Global 500 Roll of Honour, United Nations
            Ecover has been elected to the Global 500 Roll of Honour of the United Nations
            Environment Programme in recognition of outstanding practical achievements in the
            protection and improvement of the environment.

1992 Prize for the most innovative product, UK
            Price granted by the NAHS, de National Association of Health Food Shops in the UK.
            Ecover got it for its product to remove oil from birds. This product has been developed
            especially because of the Shetland oil disaster (sunken tankard).

1990   Export Oscar, Belgium
            Ecover was granted this prize for the Belgian Service for Foreign Trade for its succesful
            export of its products.

1989 Product Prize, France
            The French ministry for environmental issues grants this prize to Ecover for its ecological
            washing-up liquid.
